In my fourth semester at the Academy of Art University, in Product Modeling the final project was to research and design a concept for a lamp style of our choosing. I opted for a multi-functional lamp that included an epoxy resin diffuser and a wireless induction charging option for the user’s mobile device. As the semester devolved into an online format due to pandemic, the design evolved into a more 3D printed prototype, less of a finished product that was initially intended to incorporate a precision machined base made from claro walnut hardwood.

This entire submission was received positively by the class and the instructor; I however am considering it still a work in progress as I intend to pour another round of epoxy until I feel it is perfected, as well as migrate the final prototype/product into the sconce version.
